Maschera di Pietra

The "Stone Mask" by Golgo, also called "Litica Face", is a basaltic wall that reveals a surprising anthropomorphism if observed from a certain point of the path below: bizarre result of erosion caused by weathering on the rock. The rocky wall, about ten meters high, on which rain and wind have traced human features, defining almost in detail nose and lip eyes, is located on the eastern slope of "Baccu Dolcolce", behind a basaltic ridge that rises a few meters from 'Il Rifugio' agritourism (built in the early 1990s as part of a program to upgrade the accommodation facilities of the Golgo plateau).
